Horrible, embarrassing experience here.
Firstly I booked here to see a GP under the belief this was a bulk billing clinic as per the large signage at the front of the practice stating it is "bulk billing"
After my consultation I was shocked & very surprised to then be asked for payment. I questioned this pointing out the sign out front in big bold letters that this is a bulk billing clinic.
That was argued by the manager & reception staff that it states on their website they are a "mixed billing" practice. I explained i had not seen any mention of it being mixed billing on the website. I checked the website & did find 1 small line next to a love heart "mixed billing"
I think the signage out front needs to be removed or replaced as the current "bulk billing" sign is totally misleading & completely false.
I was made to feel that I was wrong & basically felt my view on it was totally disregarded.
This after a consultation that i felt was less than professional & quite rude after the doctor, during the consultation referenced to his watch asking me to hurry up as "time is running out & it's the weekend"
To say I was shocked at his comment is a gross understatement & to be honest coming from a "professional " like he is quite concerning. If he doesn't want to work weekends then don't.
The whole experience here was horrible & some of the practices here need reviewing, not least of all clear & concise billing information
I would not recommend this practice if anybody needs professional & personal advice or care.
They leave a lot be desired in the overall experience here.
There are many other local GP's that completely bulk bill that I would see before contemplating this practice.

Honestly one of the best medical practices I’ve been to on the coast. I travel to see Dr Nweze because he’s fantastic! My adult child with disabilities, absolutely can’t stand GPs and our DR had her laughing and feel safe within minutes. Absolutely recommend

My dealings with AmTam Medical Centre Pimpama Junction have always been excellent, and a huge part of that is the incredible admin staff. I especially want to mention Nataly, who consistently provides exceptional customer service and always goes above and beyond to help. She is friendly, professional, caring, and genuinely makes patients feel welcomed and valued. She’s an absolute asset to the clinic and honestly one of the best customer service people I’ve dealt with anywhere.

Amtan Medical Clinic is where our GP Dr Uchenna Neweze consults he has been our family Doctor for many years he is an exceptional and caring individual so everytime my husband & I visit our medically conditions are addressed in an extremely professional and competent manner. He is always upbeat making us feel comfortable when we have a concern. He is definitely one in a million! He is a definite assest to Amtan.😀😀

Dr Nweze is absolutely incredible. He supported me through my darkest days with PPD with such kindness, patience and genuine care. He has always gone above and beyond for our family and is amazing with my son — he knows him by name, and my son genuinely begs to go and see him.
We will never go anywhere else. Dr Nweze is always understanding, never rushed, and does everything he can to help, including bulk billing when needed. We feel so lucky to have a GP who truly cares.
