My husband and were travelling in Italy and Switzerland when I became increasingly unwell with “odd symptoms” that were initially gradual and explainable until they weren’t. My nervous system was shutting down, limiting my ability to see, swallow, speak or move. I presented to the University Hospital in Bern when I started having difficulty breathing and an awareness that “ something was very wrong”. I was reviewed by 2 neurologists, 3 emergency physicians and an ENT specialist. I had an MRI (brain), lumbar puncture and blood tests but no diagnosis. The tests had ruled out that I did not have a brain tumour or have had a stroke. I was to seek medical advice on my return to Australia. I was admitted into Pindara Private Hospital under Dr Adams. He was amazing, quickly diagnosing me with one of the rarest serious food borne illnesses worldwide, a 1000 in 8 billion chance of contracting “Botulism” I had complete trust in the decisions he made for my care and I felt safe, reassured and listened to. He was calm, friendly and always offered a chance to ask questions. Thankyou Dr Adams for your patience and professional expertise.

Very disappointed in every appointment. Felt as though we were putting Dr Adams out in just being there. No bedside manner. No empathy. Each appointment was in and out quick as you can.

I have been seeing Dr Adam’s since about 2011 for my migraines and he literally saved my life. I even remember my first appointment, he was thorough and listened to everything I had to say. From that first appointment I was put on the right medication and would adjust when appropriate. I did have a few years where I didn’t need to see him, but have just started going again. I’m even travelling 10hrs away to come and see him. I would recommend Dr Adam’s any day

Do not go here. Bunch of clowns. From my first appointment we hated it. Went to the Doctor with numerous symptoms, had an MRI, specialist Question marked MS as well as Doctor from lesions on scan, went into see Richard who was cold and rude. I got upset while talking about my story and he huffed and puffed and cut me off and was said for me to just continue talking to him about my symptoms….. he did a couple of tests then turned to me and said “ask me anything you want” when I did ask he seemed frustrated that I was taking up his in his mind ‘Valuable time(?)’ I don’t think he once gave a glimmer of a smile when we were in our appointment because he was so rude and passive my husband actually asked him “so should we be concerned?” To which he replied “oh yes I would be concerned” I ended up getting a lumbar puncture and when I was at reception he told the receptionist the date he wanted to see me and we booked it in. I didn’t want to go back to him but thought it would be easier than changing my referral name and it was really only for my LP results and then I was going to change specialists after anyway. I called Reception to confirm the appointment and she gaslit me saying that he never would have asked her to do that. And no appointment was booked. She was extremely rude and hostile on the phone. Sounded like an old lady that should be in retirement and she just gets super frustrated easily, kind of like the rest of the pack there. Frustrated and hate their lonely lives. Linda at reception is rude and unhelpful. And Richard needs to retire honestly. I’ve actually had a second opinion since which is completely different which seems to be the general consensus of him misdiagnosing patients and being super rude. You’re dealing with people and their neurological conditions that affect their livelihoods. The least you could do if you can’t diagnose people correctly, is have some compassion.
