What happened to the good old eagle heights burger? Gone are the egg, bacon and caramelised onion and all the previous delicious fillings. Now there is half the burger and a quarter of the flavour but increased price. Also the portion size is small and the chip quantity childlike.
I saw the menu change some time ago but thought the venue would have brought their signature burger back, such a shame.
Lovely location. Could benefit from more seating and shade though.... and some decent bar staff, the customers came second to their own chatting sadly. A young lad waiting the tables was very helpful, polite and customer focussed, hopefully he stays on, he was a gem.

Eagle Heights Hotel, perched high above the Gold Coast with sweeping views over Surfers Paradise, is a well-known spot people visit mainly for the scenery. We came for lunch and the view, expecting at least solid pub-style food to match the premium prices.
The Roman carbonara was decent, but it was served cold and the sauce wasn’t even mixed through the pasta. The real disappointment, however, was the steak. We ordered three rib-eye steaks on the bone with reef & beef sauce at $60 each. All three arrived cold, chewy, and tasteless, as if they’d been broiled and left sitting. Basic pub food at best — and not even good pub food. We should have sent them back, but those who ordered them were too embarrassed to complain. Thankfully, I didn’t order one.
There is nothing to crow about when it comes to the food. I would absolutely not recommend the steak.
The only redeeming feature of this place is the view over Surfers Paradise, which is genuinely impressive. We didn’t stay long — just lunch and the view — and that’s really the only reason to visit. Come for the scenery and photos, but eat somewhere else.

I haven't rated the rooms as I only had a meal here.
Have not been here for a while but the quality of the meals and the service is amazing!
Great Place, Great people, Great service at a great price, and even though it is night time, the views of the Gold Coast are amazing.
Do yourself a favour and come here for a meal

Location is great but meals really expensive. Had 2 children with me but one over the age of 12 so they will not include the drink with childrens meal despite nothing on menu to say this. Drink clearly included on menu. Childrens meal between 15 to 20 dollars one had burger one steak. Hardly any chips on children's meals. On website children's meals include drink and ice cream. They had no sausages available. Wouldn't eat here again. Not good value for money at all. Really expensive for very little food. Had the mushrooms (three) pretty naff. Tasteless and watery. Brocholini very hard 5 sprigs and 7 cherry tomatoes plus a few potatoes with palmy cheese. Food cold. Pretty disappointing for 25.00. Rib eye was well done not the medium rare requested. Tasted like it had been left out in heat too long. Food really poor quality. Recommend come for the amazing view go elsewhere for the food.

🚨 FOOD POISONING 🚨 DO NOT COME HERE
I would rate zero stars if I could. My 7 year old son had food poisoning from eating here. He was eating his burger and then told me it tasted bad. I had a look at the meat and it was RAW. I took it to a staff member and was told “oh yeah, it is raw” with no apology or offer to remake the food.
Our drinks were disgusting, the staff were rude and overall we had a HORRIBLE experience.
After my son became extremely ill, I emailed and complained to the duty manager and requested a full refund. The manager was EXTREMELY rude and only refunded the cost of my son’s meal, despite my other complaints of our horrible experience. My son was so extremely sick from this food, I have truly never experienced a child being so ill. This was the worst experience and I will continue to pos my review on every platform so nobody comes here. Raw food, RUDE STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
