Very disappointed, not for myself but for my daughter & granddaughters. A trip planned and saved for.
Absolutely filthy! The fans were caked in dust, being an asthmatic they couldn't be turned on. Air conditioner in the dining lounge area, was well over due for a clean!
Sleeping with the humidity was near impossible with no fan add to that, your dealing with planes flying over being in the direct flight path. The wall pictures, head of the beds were covered in thick dust.
Runner, vases on side table were dirty stained & covered in hair.
Stove, fridge, cookware, toaster & kettle
filthy as.
We didn't cook because of this, so meals were purchased, an extra expense for all.
Many marks on walls, towel rack broken off the wall. Mould in bathrooms!
Panties & rubbish down behind the washing machine, only noticed because the machine liked to walk across the floor when it was running.
One bed, slats were missing with a broken one under the bed. Under the queen bed I slept on, was dirty tissues, a tin can, choc bar rapper with the floor caked in dirt.
That was just what I could see, hate to think what else was under there!
There was no sofa bed as advertised for one granddaughter who had to bunk with her mother & sister in one bed. Not ideal or comfortable for any of them.
An old style fold out metal bed was found, you wouldn't even put a fur baby on.
The apartment we were given, was definitely not the one my daughter booked. Photo's were deceiving, to some degree. Not photo's of what the apartment actually looks like now and not as I said, the one my daughtet booked.
Having BLKR a year ago, the steps (approx. 8 lots of) were a mission as we were put on the top floor. So for anyone with a disability or aged, not ideal as there is no lift.
A major concern we had, doors wouldn't lock to the balcony, a major OHS risk. A liability waiting to happen as well as all the electrical cords scrunched up hanging from the back of the tv.
Note: Over a hundred photo's were taken by us, of the apartment we were in as was on arrival and also as we had left it. There is a cleaning fee of $200.
My daughter did approach the manager regarding our concerns who pretty much brushed her off. Stating the apartment was due for a deep clean next week!
That pretty much say's it all!
Location great, bar the planes flying over, other than that definitely would not recommend!

Gardens, pool and spa were good but that was all. We had a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment which was dirty. Arrived tired from the trip, no milk or teabags or coffee, Bed looked like it had been slept in and had sheets stained with food, griller had thick grease in tray and oven was disgusting. Pedal bin had stinking food inside and no garbage liners and there were no coat hangers and no plug for vanity. We complained about the state of the place and absolutely nothing was done. After waiting 12 months to have a holiday after a very stessful year, was totally disappointed with the whole situation. If you decide to stay here, take your cleaning products with you.

Manager ignores all concerns, very unclean, roaches all through the dishwasher and kitchen, damage to doors, bathroom not able to be used.
Not worth the price.
Would not recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in Currumbin. Friendly community. Good pool and spa area.

Very nice location, and handy to the beach(s)
Wonderful pool and spa area.
However the apartment we had was dirty and had not been cleaned despite the manager saying it’s done when it’s vacated !!
Also the ensuite shower hose was broken at the
top where one normally hangs the rose on the hook exposing the rubber tube underneath, resulting In not being able to hang it properly when trying to shower and water going everywhere but not where it’s supposed too
Also the inside of the front door frame, from top to bottom is caked in black dirt, likewise the laundry area floor looks like it’s never been touched, as is the front balcony , in short the whole unit needs thorough clean, also the dishwasher handle was missing, making it awkward to try and open the door, ( this was achieved by pulling on the sides !! ) i did mention this to the manager who said he would get it fixed, so far nothing?
The other areas listed above I also mentioned to him, but he seemed disinterested, in that nothing was done to rectify, an otherwise enjoyable holiday
